Marco Ghirlanda has announced a new release ArtistX 1.2, the distribution based on Ubuntu 11.10, contains a huge collection of programs for artists, musicians and other creative people: updated kernel to 3.0.0-15 Linux kernel, GNOME desktop environment updated 3 and KDE 4.7 and included about 2,500 free multimedia package, in terms of authors - nearly all of which have to date under the GNU / Linux. All packages are organized and structured in the appropriate menu GNOME.
